August 14th - Race Day! Dole 3 Miler Fryeburg, ME - 21:41, 7:14 pace 12th of 33. (IT Band Injury)
August 7th - Race Day! Shelburne Sugarworks 5K - 28:41, 9:10 pace 12th of 63. (IT Band Injury)
July 11th - Race Day! Windham 5K - 21:41, 7:00 pace 7th of 33.
July 9th - 4 mile outdoor run, knee pain after 2.5 miles.
July 6th - Left IT band injury.
July 5th - 7.79 mile outdoor run around Brandy Pond, ME.
July 4th - Race Day! Bridgton 4 Miler - 28:45, 7:12 pace 126 of 900+.
June 30th - 4 mile outdoor hill run.
June 28th - 6.28 mile outdoor run around Hadlock Pond, NY.
June 26th - 5.64 mile outdoor run in New York.
June 24th - 2 mile outdoor run.
June 22nd - 4 mile outdoor run.
June 21st - 7.26 mile outdoor run.
June 19th - Basin Harbor 5K 21:47, 7:02/pace. 2nd place of 84.
June 15-18th - 4 miles outdoors/treadmill.
June 13th + 14th - 10 miles outdoors.
June 8th + 9th - 12 miles treadmill, strength, grade work.
June 6th - 3.1 miles, hill training, HOT outdoor run!
June 5th - Race Day! Colchester Causeway 5K! 23:03, 7:42 pace.
June 1st-3rd - 6.5 miles on the treadmill/Outside, strength. 135 lbs.
May 31st - 5 miles on the treadmill, strength. 135 lbs. Completed American Cancer Society Walk 40 with 205.10 miles and $180 raised.
May 25th & 26th - 5 miles on the treadmill, hill work, strength and Cholesterol tested. Results came back good! LDL down and overall Cholesterol is down. Weight 134.6. Blood pressure good.
May 23rd - Race Day! BarnArts Virtual 5K - 24:31, 7:52/pace. Final results 1 of 11.
May 20th - 3 miles on the treadmill, strength. 134.6 lbs.
May 19th - 4 miles split afternoon/evening treadmill, strength.
May 16th, 2021 - Cross training, bike.
May 15th, 2021 - Race Day! COVID Covered Bridges Virtual 5K - 25:26, 8:11/pace. Final results 3 of 5.
May 12th, 2021 - 2nd COVD-19 Vaccine.
May 11th, 2021 - 2 mile run on the treadmill, strength training.
May 10th, 2021 - I have walked over 60 miles for the American Cancer Society and raised over $150 for Cancer Research. Bought a new pair of Brooks Glycerins.
May 8th, 2021 - Race Day! Shelburne 5K - 28:18.8, 8:09/pace, 11th of 85, 134.8 lbs. Finished first in age group and won pint glass. Finished first in Wheels for Jacquie, 1 of 5, and won a black cross body sling bag.
May 5th, 2021 - 2 mile run on the treadmill. First significant training run since IT band injury.
May 3rd, 2021 - 135.8 lbs. Cross training on the bike 5 miles, run on treadmill 1 mile, strength training.
May 1st, 2021 - Starting walking to support Cancer Research. 9.3 miles completed.
April 30th, 2021 - Passed the Kidney Stone after spending the week laying low with limited cross training.
April 26, 2021 - Promoting my May 2021 walk for Cancer Research. (Walk 40 miles/raise $100). End up in hospital with Kidney Stone.
April 24, 2021 - Race Day! Paul Mailman 5K - 24:11, 7:48/pace, 13th of 36 runners. (Best time yet). 136.6 lbs.
April 19, 2021 - Race Day! UVM Wellness Virtual 5K - 25:36, 8:14/pace, 3rd place finish of 37 runners, 138 lbs.
April 17, 2021 - 1.5 mile run, 12:40, 8:22/mile
April 16, 2021 - Cross training on the bike. 12.3 miles. Contacted by Race Vermont. Accepted for Shelburne 5K off wait list.
April 15, 2021 - Cross training on the bike. 6 miles, 27 minutes, 4.5 mins/mile. Strength work for IT band.
April 14, 2021 - Received first dose of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. Strength work on IT band.
April 13, 2021 - Scheduled to get J&J COVID-19 vaccine, appointment cancelled. 139.8 lbs.
April 12, 2021 - Was supposed to run 3 miles, went away from my training and tried for six. At 5.08, I injured my IT band.
April 11, 2021 - Outdoor run, 5 miles, 45:09, 9:01/mile, 140.2 lbs.
April 8, 2021 - 3.1 miles on the treadmill, got new Brooks Ghost shoes, 141.2 lbs.
April 3, 2021 - Outdoor run, 3 miles, best pace yet. 26:46, 8:33/mile.
April 4, 2021 - Outdoor run, 3 miles, best pace yet. 27:58, 8:57/mile.
April 3, 2021 - Outdoor run, 3 miles, best pace yet. 28:30, 9:25/mile.
March 27, 2021 - Ran 2 miles everyday since March 23rd.
March 25, 2021 - 143.2 lbs.
March 23, 2021 - Completed 10 miles running for the week.
March 20, 2021 - 4 miles on the treadmill.
March 14, 2021 - 145.6 lbs.
March 13, 2021 - 3 miles on the treadmill.
March 8, 2021 - 6.5 mph mile on the treadmill in under 10 minutes.
March 7, 2021 - I ran two miles on the treadmill.
March 5, 2021 - I got below 150 and hit 148.8 on the scale! Starting to see real progress.
March 3, 2021 - I ran my first full mile on the treadmill.
February 19, 2021 - After a few weeks of studying nutrition, I begin a plant based diet which incorporates fish and some meat cutting calories to 1,500 day.
February 19, 2021 - "I’m stuck in this “thirty-four year old wasted talent who keeps kicking the can down the road to meet everybody else’s needs” kind of funk. I’m starting to realize there may never be that point of, “it’s time for me to do me” and that’s the reality starting to set in. Before I know it, thirty-four will be forty-four, and forty-four will become fifty-four. Thats what I wrestle with inside despite knowing how fortunate I am outside. The struggle is real."
January - Walking on the treadmill half hour to an hour each night.
December 2020 - 163 lbs, high cholesterol (LDL), relatively unhealthy, hard time skating, going up stairs, snoring, etc.
