Peter Illes教授，欧洲科学院院士，PurinergicSignalling杂志副主编, Current Neuropharmacology编委。德国嘌呤信号研究协会(German Purine Club)创立者及首任主席；领导德国科学基金会（Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft，DFG）德国P2受体研究项目：The German Research Unit "Neuronal and glial P2 receptors; molecular basis and functional significance"。以莱比锡、亚琛和柏林为中心，建立了嘌呤信号研究领域国际合作网络，是嘌呤信号研究领域国际公认的领军人物。在Nature communications，Trends in Pharmacological Science, Progress of Neurobiology, Neuroscientist,Cerebral Cortex 等发表论文230余篇。
